Nelson Cabrera is a one-line, strong punchline comedy guy and an actor's dream. He's one of those rare directors who has found success in both the Hispanic and U.S.General Markets, due in no small part to language skills and ability to understand both cultures equally. His rise to success was kick-started in 2004 when SHOOT Magazine picked him as one of the "Directors to Watch" internationally at the Clio Awards; right after that, he was a "Cannes Young Directors" selection. He has had some serious pats on the back, too... Multiple Cannes Lions, Andy Awards, Emmy Awards, NY Film Festival Awards, ADDY'S, a Gold Mobius, and several Golds at AHAA and FIAP. Plus, he's just flat-out funny and fun to be around, even with all that shiny metal trophies on the shelf behind his head. Nelson works as a director/creative director through the MILL NYC.
