Stanley was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1960. He started his career as a copywriter at JW Thompson Argentina, when he reached 23 he was already general creative director. He also gained advertising agency experience at Lintas, Lauterc Saatchi & Saatchi, Schussheim/ Braga Menendez and Leo Burnett. He studie filmmaking in the New York University and finished his studies in advertising at the University of El Salvador, in Buenos Aires. At the age of 25 he moved to Bogortá, Colombia, as the general creative director of Leo Burnett advertising. There he produced and directed his first commercial spot. This commercial for Chiclet's Adams was finalist in the Clio Awards and was granted a permanent place in the Hall of Fame of Advertising in Colombia. Due to the great international interest obtained by this spot, Stanley was invited to direct in Argentina, where his career as a film director bolossomed and where the development of his success began. in 1993 he moved to Santiago de Chile and opened his own production company Stanley Films & friends. During his career Stankey made more than 200 commercials and his work as a director and producer has been awarded at festivals like New York Festival, FIAP, Clio Awards, Cannes, among others. Stanley won the MTV Music Awards for his first music video and has been finalist three more times since then. His first feature film "Monkeys with blade" opened succesfully in Chile in 2000 and has been invited to several international film festivals. In June 2003 the P&C Magazine from Miami made a Survey where Stanley was voted as the second best latinamerican director of the Year.
